Anna Lonai gets it. As someone who grew up on an alfalfa farm in Milton-Freewater, a town with a population of 7,000 people, she knows what it takes for a rural kid to find their way to a career in healthcare.

In 2008, we interviewed past participants to see where they went after our programming, and Cassie had become a surgical nurse. In honor of Medical-Surgical Nurses week, we’d love for you to read her story. She went to MedQuest in 1996 and served on the NEOAHEC Board of Directors from 2002-2005
