This award-winning camp has been held annually by Eastern Oregon University (EOU) and NEOAHEC since 2002 and is scheduled to take place on November 2, 2024. All Oregon students in grades 6-8 are welcome to apply. 121 students applied last year, so don’t wait to apply for one of the 100 available spots! Registration will be open until October 18.

The theme for this year's event is: Something's Fishy... An Environmental Mystery.

What is Investigators of Science?

Investigators of Science, formerly Girls in Science, allows middle school students to dive head-first into an engaging science mystery that leads them toward careers in STEM. The curriculum is designed by EOU faculty to give students hands-on experiences in biology, chemistry, math and computer science, health and human performance, and psychology. The event has won nine awards from the American Chemical Society, a non-profit that focuses on advancing chemical science broadly across the country. Another longtime supporter of the event is Soroptimist International of La Grande, who has been suppling grant funds for the event each year.
