In Pendleton, you'll find access to a plethora of outdoor opportunities, including hiking, backpacking, camping, fishing, skiing, and more. Check out McKay Reservoir and the Columbia River are great places that offer all these activities, and several of the Northwest's finest ski areas are within easy driving distance.
During the summer, there are rodeos on most weekends, and the Pendleton Round-Up is a major annual event worth experiencing! The Round-Up Athletic Club has a student membership rate of $33 per month if you present your student ID card. If you are interested, give them a call at (541) 276-0880.

In La Grande, you'll find access to a plethora of outdoor opportunities, including hiking backpacking, camping, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, and more. Check out Morgan Lake and Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort while you're in town.
La Grande offers a host of local events and activities to participate in. From the seasonal farmers market to our local art center to all the events at EOU, La Grande has many amazing things to see and explore. Be sure to check out the shops downtown and at the Marketplace Underground!

Key Pickup
You may pick up the key to the student house at the Operator Station inside Saint Alphonsus Medical Center-Ontario. To get to the Operator Station, enter the main front entrance at St. Alphonsus Medical Center and take the stairs to the left of the lobby. At the top of the stairs, on the first floor, is the Operator Station. If you get lost in the hospital while trying to find the Operator Station, you can dial "0" from any hospital phone to be connected to the operator. Please contact the operator at (541) 881-7000 to arrange for key pickup prior to arrival.
You will be required to pay a $50 deposit for the key, refundable when you return the key to the Operator Station before you leave town.

Baker City, Oregon
We are so happy you have chosen to complete your rural rotation in Baker City!
If you've never been to Eastern Oregon, you'll find a great variety of outdoor opportunities. There are rodeos on most weekends in the summer, lots of good hiking trails, fishing and camping spots, and lakes for water skiing. Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort is very close to Baker City and offers most of these activities.
The Oregon Trail Interpretive Center is located just 5 miles east of Baker City. It offers living history presentations, exhibits and multimedia displays that re-create pioneer life on the trail.

Enterprise, Oregon
We are so happy you have chosen to complete your clinical rotation in Enterprise!
Enterprise is surrounded by some of the most beautiful areas in Eastern Oregon. There are many things to do and see! If you are an outdoor enthusiast, you may enjoy fishing, camping or water skiing at Wallowa Lake. There are also many good trails for hiking and horseback riding.
An interesting local attraction is the Wallowa Lake Tramway, which climbs almost 4,000 feet giving you a spectacular view of Wallowa County! Joseph, a town close to Enterprise, has several unique art galleries and shops to explore.

Residents: The Wallowa County Health Care District requires a $150 cleaning deposit upon move-in. Please take your check or credit card to the hospital business office at your earliest convenience. If the house is left in a clean, satisfactory condition, the deposit will be returned.

Heppner, Oregon
We are so happy you have chosen to complete your rural rotation in Heppner!
Heppner is a great place to enjoy the outdoors. With Penland Lake and Cutsforth Park located near Heppner, fishing, camping and picnicking are only a short drive away. The Morrow-Grant Off Highway Vehicle Park is a great outdoor destination with 8,125 acres of ATV trails, camping, hiking, fantastic scenery and amazing wildlife viewing. If you want to stick around town, the Morrow County Museum gives you an idea of what life was like during the early settlement years.
