AHEC Scholars is a national program developed by the U.S. Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) and state AHECs that brings together interprofessional cohorts of students from five different universities in Oregon to a team-based rural and/or underserved clinical teaching site for additional didactics in rural and underserved core topic areas.

Participation in AHEC Scholars qualifies students to apply for the Primary Care Loan Forgiveness (PCLF) program administered by the Oregon Office of Rural Health.
