This position pays $100/day! Plus, we cover meals and housing during camp.
Anyone over the age of 18 can apply to be a counselor, but professional or educational experience in healthcare is preferred. Most of our camp counselors are undergraduate students who are working towards health careers.
To apply, please create an account in the NEOAHEC portal and go to the “Event” tab. Select “MedQuest Counselor 2026 (All Camps)." When it asks for the completed Letter of Intent for Scholarship Awardee, please upload this form (select the form for the camp you are applying to):
Why be a camp counselor?
Being a camp counselor is more than watching students participate in activities. You become their guide and mentor as you lead campers through the week.
In some ways, being a counselor is just like being a camper. You get to learn new skills, meet people in your field, and make friends with the other counselors.
This experience will allow you to develop your leadership skills, learn more about different health careers, and connect you to a network of resources through NEOAHEC.
