New Pathway Program Coordinator

Right before MedQuest, NEOAHEC hired a new Pathway Program Coordinator!

"Growing up in the Grande Ronde Valley, I have a great sense of community. As I got older I noticed more and more how the people really rely on one another and help build each other up. I believe that in a small rural place you really need to be able to help one another to be able to succeed and that is what I want to do, help the community that has supported me and seen me grow my whole life. I have been involved with NEOAHEC since I was in high school as a camper of MedQuest, then returning to be a counselor twice the following two years, I was thrilled to hear that there was a position open to be able to work with NEO full time.

"I graduated from Eastern Oregon University with a Bachelors in Community Health, I have always had a passion for helping people, when I was younger I thought that meant becoming a doctor to be able to directly involved in patient care, I quickly learned that wasn't for me. Even though I did not become a doctor, I learned there are many more ways to help support my community, and NEOAHEC allows me to do so by supporting the next generations of students that want to become doctors and nurses or community health workers. My goal is to be able to teach students that there are many facets of healthcare and even if the one you thought was your calling does not work out, there are many other rewarding careers within the field of healthcare."
