CMS Rural Listening Sessions this September

Wednesday, September 8, 2021

Earlier this year, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) sought interest and priorities for Active Listening Sessions on specific topics. Based on the responses, we are planning three sessions to seek your experiences, needs, strategies, and recommendations.

Below are the top three priority areas and the scheduled times. Please follow links to pre-register for each event.

Social Determinants of Health: How are and should Social Determinants of Health influence design and delivery of services? Wednesday 9/15/21 at 1:00-3:00pm PST

Behavioral Health: What are the major barriers to providing behavioral health services? How has rural health care continued to be impacted by the opioid epidemic? Are there impacts caused by undiagnosed, untreated or inadequately treated behavioral health care on the delivery of services? Wednesday, 9/22/21 at 1:00-3:00pm PST

Workforce: How do we meet the healthcare workforce needs over the next 10-20 years in rural areas? Tuesday, 9/28/21 at 1:00-3:00pm PST
