Health Speaker Series
Connecting undergraduate students and community members with healthcare professionals!
NEOAHEC is back at it again!
After taking a hiatus from the Health Speaker Series for a few years, we are now stepping back into our previous role to facilitate Eastern Oregon University's Health Speaker Series for undergraduate students and community members.
What is the Health Speaker Series?
The goal of the Series is to promote health careers, educate guests about the vast variety of health career options available and the preparation needed for these careers), and answer questions that attendees might have. It provides invaluable networking opportunities between students and current healthcare professionals (or graduate students pursuing medical careers). Speakers provide an inside look at their career or educational path, touching on the following:
- Why did they choose their career path?
- Tests, licenses, education, and other preparation they had to complete
- Surprises and challenges along the way
- The most rewarding aspects of their work
- Tips for success
And much more!
EOU students, high school students, and community members are invited to this special presentation in Huber Auditorium at Eastern Oregon University on Tuesday, December 4th at 5 PM!
