Geriatric Care in an Age-Friendly Health System

Primary care clinicians and their teams are cordially invited to participate in the Geriatric Care ECHO, sponsored by the Oregon ECHO Network.
This 12-session ECHO series will build the capacity of primary care clinicians and their teams to diagnose and treat common outpatient geriatric patient care issues. Topics may include:
Diagnosis and treatment of dementia, depression, and anxiety
Insomnia management (pharmacological and non-pharmacological)
Pain management (pharmacological and non-pharmacological)
Mobility in older adults with mental health diagnoses
Advance care planning processes

The opportunity to present your tough cases and receive feedback from a multidisciplinary team of specialists and peers
We will select up to 10 primary care teams to participate based on their interest in the program, geographic distribution throughout Oregon, and ability to commit to attend the sessions. Prescribing clinicians (MD, DO, NP, PA) are encouraged to invite up to two other staff members who are in a position to champion change in their organizations, such as nurses, behavioral health specialists, medical assistants, practice managers, and quality improvement specialists.
*Accreditation: Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit: OHSU School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Through the American Board of Medical Specialties (“ABMS”) ongoing commitment to increase access to practice relevant Continuing Certification Activities through the ABMS Continuing Certification Directory, Adult Psychiatry II ECHO has met the requirements as a MOC Part II CME Activity (apply toward general CME requirement) for the following ABMS Member Boards: Family Medicine; Psychiatry and Neurology.
