A Day in the Life

Spend a day in the life of a graduate medical student

Students will experience the next step toward becoming a healthcare provider.

Spend 1 1/2 days on the campus of Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, gaining first-hand knowledge of what it's like to be a medical or physician assistant student.

Students will attend a lecture, get a tour of OHSU, visit with current medical and physician assistant students, and participate in hands-on simulation activities.

This is an opportunity to gain valuable insight into the admissions process and to participate in mock interviews with the Office of Admissions.

Students will develop relationships with important OHSU contacts. Many of these contacts open doors to the future.

A Day in the Life is open to undergraduate and community college students who attend school or whose hometown is in the NEOAHEC region: Baker, Gilliam, Hood River, Malheur, Morrow, Sherman, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, Wasco and Wheeler counties.
